Open Enrollment 2020-2021

Update: The 2020-2021 DWCS Lottery has been postponed to a later date. We plan to announce a firm date on May 1st. The Governor has issued a stay-at-home order until April 30th, so for this reason we postponed the lottery.

If the Governor decides to extend the stay-at-home order, then we will move forward with a live public Broadcast of our lottery either on Facebook Live or on our website. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for an update on May 1st. Thank you for your patience. Everyone please stay safe.

For more information, please feel free to email mmcmahon@darbonnewoods.com.

**OPEN ENROLLMENT ended on Monday, March 16th. Late applications will be accepted at the school office when it reopens. **

We will accept applications for the 2020-2021 school year beginning Monday, February 3rd at 8:00 a.m. CST until Monday, March 16th at 3:00 p.m. CST. Applications may be turned into the high school and elementary offices. You will need to bring the student registration form along with copies of the following items: Child’s birth certificate, social security card, immunization record and a Louisiana parent/guardian’s driver’s license or identification card to prove residency. Only residents of Louisiana are eligible for this application process.

We will only accept the completed packet in our office. We are unable to make copies of documents, so please have copies of documents made in advance. You may visit the Union Parish Library to make copies for a small fee.

Please make sure that you fill-out the application completely. Also, legacy students receive priority in our 2020-2021 lottery drawing. A legacy student is considered a sibling of a current student.

Our lottery drawing will take place March 24th at 9:00 a.m. in our Board Room.  Acceptance and waiting list letters will be mailed on Friday, March 27, 2020.
